Presented by TEAM AIC Armenian & International Cuisines and More makes around 50 cookies Ingredients ½ cup Greek extra virgin olive oil ½ cup white sugar ¾ cup freshly squeezed orange juice ¼ cup Greek ouzo* 2 teaspoons orange zest 500gr (1 pound) self rising flour ½ cup (or more) sesame seeds and 2-3 tablespoons ouzo for sprinkling Instructions In a large bowl we mix all the ingredients together, except sesame seeds and the extra ouzo. We do not overmix. We shape into cookies. We put 2 inches apart on baking sheet. With a pastry brush we glaze the cookies with the rest of the ouzo and we sprinkle with the sesame seeds. Blend small amount of flour (1/2 cup) in 1 cup of grape juice in jar and shake. Put through strainer into applesauce. Repeat process until all flour and grape juice is used up. Blend. Bring to a boil stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Add sugar and stir while boiling for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Place 4 sheets of newspaper on table with 3O"x30" wide cotton sheet of cloth on top. Pour 1/2 mixture on one sheet. Spread evenly with long, butcher knife. Repeat the same with rest of mixture. Carrot cookies, no bake 1 cup raisins 1 cup baby carrots ½ tbsp. pure vanilla extracts powder ¼ cup slivered almonds Instructions In a food processor combine all the ingredients (except almonds) and pulse a dough starts to form. Take it out in a bowl and fold in slivered almonds. Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and form round cookie shapes between palms. Place the cookies gently on the cookie sheet and freeze it for 10 minutes. Take it out and enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator in a glass container. Use with avocados and peaches and all those fruit they harvest so hard and Unripened. A bowl of vinegar attracts those fruit flies in the house. Sprinkle lemon juice with salt on ants coming into the house or even around the rims of the house outside or around the outer rims of your patio so ants don’t approach.
